Carolyn Kissick is widely considered to be one of the top tequila consultants in the U.S., where she has worked in the food, beverage, and hospitality industries as a consumer educator and strategic brand advisor for more than 10 years. A California native currently living in Guadalajara, Mexico, she is one of the founders of Tequila Partners, a company that works with individuals and companies that wish to create their own brand of agave spirits.

Truly passionate about the art of tequila distillation, Carolyn approaches her work with an eye for quality, authenticity, and relationships. “We do more than simply bottle tequila and give it a designer label,” she says. “We teach our clients about the craft of tequila production and the people behind it in a way that results in an authentically unique product for their personal brand.” With many years of hosting industry and consumer tastings and immersive cultural trips to the tequila regions of Mexico, Carolyn knows how to make meaningful connections between producers, investors, and consumers.

Carolyn is also a strategic consultant for SipTequila.com, an online tequila club focused on introducing higher quality, smaller batch spirits into the U.S. market. Her current work with SipTequila includes an in-depth analysis of the three-tier system of alcohol regulation in the U.S. and how that hampers the emergence of new, boutique tequilas and limits consumer choices.
